GalleryNATUREBIRDSMORE BIRDS wild California Quail in Osoyoos
prev next
We were heading out of the downtown area of Osoyoos and hadn't gotten very far when Paul noticed a bevy of Quail playing curious George along the street. We quickly pulled over and they were just as fast to start ducking and weaving to the underbrush bordering the pavement.
The male stood out with his black mask, and though they apparently don't flock together except around breeding season, these ones were still quite chummy at the start of September.
