Red-tailed Hawk

Against the browns and golds of the field this hawk was perched in, it was a camouflage of perfection, barely noticeable as we were driving by. Trees had just recently been uprooted, either making way for a new crop, or for a group of new homes. The river was probably about 50 to 100 feet away, but though this is salmon season, they aren't ones to partake of the seafood delicacies. It was probably pausing between forays for rodents, snakes, and small birds.
