This little House Sparrow posed quietly on the railing of the viewing platform overlooking the water at the Reifel Bird Sanctuary. Occasionally he'd shift a little, but didn't move very much - that is, until a Mallard decided to join the action. The Mallard jumped up on the railing and waddled right up to the sparrow so that he sprinted, then flew to another area of the railing quite a bit away from the Mallard. There was lots of space for the Mallard to sun by itself, but it had to do the same thing all over again. It waddled over to the sparrow, and the game started all over again.
