male House Sparrow

House Sparrows can be found practically anywhere around the world, and are readily associated with man, but sometimes their abilities to adapt to new environments are put to astronomical standards. According to RSPB Community (RSPB.OR.UK), "they have been found living and breeding 2000ft underground in a coalmine; others have been recorded living their whole lives inside warehouses."
