prev nextThere were a few Grebes visible on Shuswap lake a distance from the pier we were on, and they just seemed to be lazily floating along taking in the sun. Suddenly though, they'd break their reverie and dive, disappearing for long minutes before popping up again. Apparently they are quite aggressive hunters, and they make use of their long slender bills by spearing a lot of the fish they seek.
