Mule Deer

 I must admit that what struck me most about the closeups of the Mule Deer were their hairy ears. Long curly hairs insulate that sensitive skin, and protect the ear canal - but they have an odd way of reminding me of the qualities people don't generally like in themselves as they age: hairs that start appearing where there didn't used to be any.
