Nandina domestica heavenly bamboo - berries

If you plant one of these evergreen false bamboo plants in your garden, chances are you'll go searching for more nurseries with the same plant, or cultivars of the family. This shot was taken when the berries were still plump and richly coloured but the leaves hadn't yet started putting on their vibrant show. Expect new spring leaves to bring a lot of colour to your yard, tiny white blossoms to appear in the summer, and the berries to put on a show from the fall through early winter.
