Eskimo Sunset Maple

I love variegated leaves, and this one has a most delicious mix of chocolate, pink, cream, and green - depending on what time of the season, you'll see the colours washing across the leaves in a stunning pattern. Sadly, there's no room for this one (yet) in our yard, but I keep thinking about it. They only grow to about 12 to 15 feet in 10 years, so they're ideal for a lot of situations where you don't want your specimens to grow too large.

They come from the North Island of New Zealand, and are hardy in zones 5 - 9.

I have only seen this one at Port Kells Nurseries in Chilliwack, and I'm definitely going back there to look at more.
