raindropped purple Asters

 I had often seen wild Asters on our walks before. Most bloom from the late summer through the late fall, but early bloomers start in the late spring, to early summer. What I didn't previously know though, was that the centre purple or yellow area is actually an area of disk flowers, and; the slender petals surrounding them are ray flowers.
