Malachite butterfly - b&w & colour

This was a pretty hard fellow to identify. The Calgary Zoo was an incredible place to see a tremendous variety of beautiful butterflies, but they all went unnamed. And there are so many butterflies with patches of yellows and browns and blacks that narrowing the field was close to making me kin to a bald eagle (by name only). They range from Brazil through Central America, Florida, Texas, and very rarely into Kansas.
