Cherry-faced Meadowhawk (red dragonfly) Sympetrum internum

This is a wide-ranging dragronfly, covering areas from the central, and northern United States, and as far north as the Yukon, and Northwest Territories. The abdomen is tattooed with black triangles, and the legs are also black.

Initially I thought this was a Cardinal Meadowhawk, but it was not. According to Jim Johnson, a great dragonfly and damselfy resource, it's more probably a Cherry-faced Meadowhawk.
