Tule Bluets - initial stage of mating (Enallagma carunculatum)

More commonly, you'll see mating Damselflies in a wheel pattern, or something more akin to a squished heart, but they're often paired as they are in this shot, with the blue male in front of, and attached behind the head of, the female. What I find fascinating as well, is being able to identify the green striped female Tule Bluet because she's with the male.
