At the back end of summer, and it's still putting on a show. Little critters like Dragonflies aren't hovering as much, but there are lots of other special finds to delight in.

Sendall Gardens is always a great place to visit for a peek at gorgeous plants someone else takes care of. They don't however, label all of them, so many are unknown soldiers. This one had the exotic look of a mixed Lily and Iris, with a touch of Bromeliad thrown in - much like you'd spice a dish with a sprinkle of this and a dash of that. Searching the net brought up lots of other beauties, but not this one. Alas.

Rabbit @ Brydon Lagoon - b&w This little guy (right) sat on the trail ahead of us leading to Brydon Lagoon until we got about 20 feet away, then it hopped about 10 feet to the side into brambles growing deeply by the fence. As if we weren't there, it nibbled on the leaves like Bugs Bunny would have chomped on carrots. Fresh salad minus the dressing. When I saw the picture on the computer at home, I was taken by the blue reflection in its eye, and enhanced that by leaving that colour alone, and lifting all but some of the reds and browns in the shot.

Rabbit @ Brydon Lagoon We've often seen rabbits on the trails we've walked, but they don't usually feel comfortable enough to dine while we're still around. This one allowed us to take a few snaps, and a short video (click left to view the clip). It was really a treat being there during supper.
